Diesel

Blends of biodiesel and conventional hydrocarbon-based diesel are products most commonly distributed for use in the European diesel fuel market. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel that can be produced from vegetable oil or animal fats and is used as a substitute for conventional diesel which is a specific fraction distillate of petroleum fuel oil. Compared to conventional diesel, using biodiesel as a vehicle fuel supports some unique features and qualities as it substantially reduces tailpipe emissions, creates immediate health and environmental benefits, increases the energy security, and provides safety benefits.

The Diesel we have in our portfolio is a blend with up to 7% biodiesel. Since the blend contains less than 7% biodiesel it is classified as diesel and is suitable to use in diesel engines, also known as compression-ignition engines, found in most types of transportation (vehicles that are designed to run on conventional mineral diesel) and industrial facilities.
